Sunset Boat Trips from Rovinj

Some leave from Rovinj, several from Vrsar, about 45 minutes by boat to the north. The Lim Fjord itself is a 12 km inlet between the two, so the departure port is in the tour title – check it before booking, because the price and the time on the water depend on it.

Not guaranteed – the dolphins are wild. Some operators say they refund you or offer a repeat trip if none are seen; that is the operator’s own promise and is stated on its booking page, so read it before you book. Sunset departures are the best-reviewed ones in our selection.

Rovinj has the largest choice of the nearby ports (39 of our 62 offers are listed under Rovinj), but dolphin cruises also leave from Poreč, Vrsar and Pula. The Brijuni National Park is reached from Fažana and Pula, not from Rovinj – a Rovinj departure exists only as a private speedboat tour. If Brijuni is your goal, look at Pula’s departures.

Pula airport is about 38 km away, roughly 40 minutes by road. The old town is pedestrian-only, so cars wait at the edge – the Valdibora garage is a short walk from the centre. Check the meeting point on each booking page.

Age limits are set by each operator and shown on the booking page, so we do not give a single number. Quad and buggy tours are driven by an adult; one family buggy offer says it takes up to four people and is suitable for families with children. For boat trips, look for the minimum age and the life-jacket sizes in the description.

The white truffle season runs from September to December, with October usually the high point. The truffle tours we list start inland – for example in Paladini – not in Rovinj, so you need a car or a transfer to get there.
